Wedding planning was stressful, so I was relieved when the big day came and went and I didn’t have to worry about planning anymore. But the wedding day itself? Surprisingly not stressful, and definitely the best day of my life. I miss it! I wish there was a way to go back and relive that day. I know I’m not alone! I’m sure many of you would like to go back and relive your wedding day. Today I’m going to share 7 easy ways you can relive your wedding day after it’s over!
1. Put together a photo album.
This is one of the best and most common ways to look back on your wedding day. Dave and I still haven’t done this yet (fail), but when I have time I plan to spend a lot of time creating a beautiful album for us.
2. Create a gallery wall.
Dave and I typically refrain from spending money decorating our current apartment, since we want to buy a house soon. But we definitely plan to put together a gallery wall of wedding pictures once we have a house of our own! I love gallery walls, and we have to so many pictures from our wedding day with our closest friends and family.
3. Reuse your wedding decor in your home.
Since we used fake flowers at our wedding, I was able to bring my bouquet home and put it in a vase to decorate our living room. Every time I look at it I smile, because it reminds me of our wedding day.
4. Save your wedding cards.
I saw a DIY project on Pinterest where you use a 3-hole-punch and metal hoops, yard, or ribbon to put your wedding cards together into a keepsake book. I haven’t done this yet, but I have the cards saved and plan to find a creative way to put them together!
5. Display your guest book.
We specifically chose a “guest book” for our wedding that we’d be able to display in our home. We used an over-sized frame with a smaller picture in the middle, and had our guests sign the white space. It’s the one thing from our wedding we have hanging in our living room!
6. Wear your wedding shoes again.
I haven’t found an excuse to wear my wedding shoes again, mostly because they’re royal blue. But if your wedding shoes go with other outfits, find another excuse to wear them!
7. Take advantage of extra wedding favors.
Dave and I have about 50 pairs of sunglasses in our home that say “Mellon Wedding 2015” on the side. They were our wedding favors, and we ended up with more pairs of sunglasses than we had guests. But at least now I’ll never run out of sunglasses, and they remind me of our wedding day and the fun our guests had wearing them at the reception!
