You might remember that a few months ago I did a spring bucket list. I might not have accomplished everything on the list, but I did pretty well! I’m back today to share my summer bucket list full of new tasks and activities I want to accomplish.
-Ride the Tilt-a-Whirl. My friend Nicole and I have made it a habit of finding festivals and fairs in the area for the sole purpose of riding the tilt-a-whirl. You could say we’re a little obsessed.
-Watch fireworks. There is a great 4th of July festival not far from our home, and we’ve gone every year since we moved here. I love setting up camp in the field and watching the fireworks!
-Go camping. Every year my family goes camping together and it’s a great time! It’s not the rustic camping trip some people might go on (there’s a shower, mini golf, a store, etc.), but we do sleep in tents! Plus, sitting around the campfire is one of my favorite things to do during the summer.
-Go to the zoo. Madison has a great little zoo, and it’s free! We went in the fall, but they’ve added a few more animals since we were last there. Since there’s no cost, there’s no excuse not to go every so often!
-Explore Madison. Madison is a great town full of fun things to do, many of which are free. We haven’t taken full advantage of living in such a lively city, so I’d really love to check out some more of the local spots this summer.
-Hit the pool. We’re spoiled in that the apartment complex where we live has a community pool. However, we pretty much never use it. I think we’ve literally gone in once since we’ve lived here, the very first summer. Last year we didn’t use it at all! This year I’d like go for a swim at least a couple of times.
