I’ve been writing wedding planning blog posts since I started this blog in September of 2014. It has been one of my favorite topics to write about, and one the favorite topics of my readers (judging from the number of page views). But over time, especially now that I’m married it’s a topic I’ve become less passionate about. As I mentioned in a recent blog post, I’m no longer going to be writing these posts anymore. These wedding planning blog posts are still near and dear to my heart because they represent such an amazing time in my life. They’ll remain on the blog to help those who are planning weddings of their own. As my final farewell to wedding planning blog posts, I thought I would put together a roundup of my most popular wedding planning blog posts from the last year and a half. Enjoy!
Weddings are so deeply rooted in tradition, and sometimes there are unnecessary (and not super enjoyable) things we include just because “tradition” says we have to. But so many of those traditions are outdated, and we should have the weddings we want!
With the exception of the week or two before the wedding, the weeks immediately after getting engaged might be the most overwhelming. Mostly just because you don’t know what you’re doing! Most brides have never planned a wedding before. Just having a simple list of the first few things to do can be a life saver.
I loved writing this post! My wedding dress is one of my favorite purchases of all time, and far and beyond the most beautiful thing I have ever worn. Wedding dress shopping was an amazing experience for me, and I wrote this post in the hopes it can be an amazing experience for you as well!
Creating your wedding guest list is stressful, and it’s made even more so by the number of people you’re told you “have” to invite. Just remember that it’s your wedding and you only have to invite people you want there! Specifically, these are 7 people you don’t have to invite.
The second most important dress at your wedding will be the dress the bridesmaids wear! While it’s not as big of a deal as picking the wedding dress, it can be difficult to find a dress that flatters all the ladies! Here are just a few tips that might help you!
If you read many of my wedding planning blog posts, you’ll know that creating our guest list was probably the most stressful part of wedding planning for me. I literally lost sleep over it. But I also learned a lot! And I compiled it all in this post for you.
I can’t even tell you how much I relied on the internet during my wedding planning. I mean, I’m pretty sure everyone relies on the internet these days. So I threw together a compilation of some websites I know will be beneficial to you.
Let’s face it, we all make mistakes wedding planning. I feel like making the mistakes I did has given me the opportunity to write even better posts for all of you over the last year and a half!
You friends have loved this post! And I loved writing it. The night before your wedding is a big night. First of all, it was an amazing night because our closest friends and family came together for the rehearsal dinner. But it’s also your last night as a single lady! It can be emotional, but it’s definitely exciting.
