It should come as no surprise to you all that fall is hands down my favorite season (mostly because I’ve repeatedly pointed out that fall is my favorite season.) I love the clothes, the colors, and definitely the food! Even though we’re already a month in, I thought I would get into the seasonal spirit and share a few of my favorite fall essentials that will definitely make your fall even better.

1. Fall Fashion
I am all about the fall fashion. First of all, comfort is pretty much my top priority when it comes to clothing. And finally, the season is here where all of the clothes are specifically designed to be warm and cozy! You can find me in warm sweaters and wool-lined slippers and boots for the next 5 months. Target is always my go-to for fall sweaters because they are super comfortable and super affordable.
2. Fall Colors
I love the fall colors that come when the leaves change! We’re lucky enough to live in a place with tons of foliage. Plus, we head further north when we visit family and the colors get more and more beautiful! Though right now there seems to be some confusion on our backyard because one of our trees completely changed colors and then lost its leaves, and the other is still holding strong with the green leaves. I guess that spreads out the raking for us a bit.
3. Fall Activities
There’s just something about fall that makes you want to be outside. I don’t know if it’s the brisk air, the outdoor activities that always happen this time of year, or the changing colors. Some classic fall activities are visiting a pumpkin patch and carving pumpkins, visiting a corn maze, and visiting a haunted house (which is on our to-do list for this weekend!)
4. Fall Decor
To be honest, I’m pretty lazy when it comes to seasonal decor. But I do love fall decor! We were lucky enough to get a few fall pieces as housewarmings gifts when we had guests recently, and I’ve been able to pick up a few things here and there to make our home a little more seasonal and festive. Small things like doormats and throw pillows really spice the room up a bit without taking up much space or costing too much!
5. Fall Food
I love that once the weather starts to turn, we officially pull out the “comfort food”. This is my favorite kind of food, so I basically wait all year for it to be socially acceptable to make stew every day. I’m all about crockpot recipes, squash recipes, and anything and everything with pumpkin. It’s harder for me to get away with throwing pumpkin, in everything since Dave isn’t a big pumpkin guy. To clarify, he likes pumpkin and enjoys a piece of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. However, he does not like that pumpkin is currently trendy and in everything, so he protests by avoiding those foods. Yeah, he’s not a big “trend” guy.
