I’m still in total disbelief that it’s already fall! I’m not psyched about winter being almost here, but I’m definitely loving the fall weather! Summer is typically hotter than I prefer, so the cooler fall air is perfect. With the crisp air and the changing leaves, fall is the perfect time to get out of the house and go on some unique dates with your significant other. Here are 9 fun fall date ideas!
1. Apple Picking
If I’m being totally honest, I’ve never been apple picking. But everyone on my news feed is doing it and seems to be having a great time! I might have to find somewhere in the Madison area to do some apple picking!
2. Pumpkin Patch
A fall classic! If you’re going to be carving pumpkins this year, you’ll need to head to the local pumpkin patch to pick out your pumpkins! Plus they often have other activities such as corn mazes, hay rides, and awesome fall snacks.
3. Haunted House
Dave and I have been wanting to visit a haunted house for years, and still haven’t done it! I know there are some great ones around Madison, so we’ll definitely need to do this eventually.
4. Have a Bonfire
There’s nothing better to do in the crisp weather than sit around a warm bonfire with your special someone! Have I mentioned how much it sucks not having a yard to have bonfires right now?! Luckily, Dave and I will have one by next fall!
5. Horseback Riding
We went horseback riding together for the first time on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! It’s the perfect fall activity because you can hit the trail in the cool weather and see the changing colors on the trees.
6. Scary Movie Marathon
With Halloween coming up, naturally it’s time for some scary movies! They’ll be everywhere on TV soon, or you can rent your own favorites!
7. Go to a Football Game
Football is the ultimate fall activity! If it’s in your budget, grab tickets for your local NFL team. We’re lucky to have an awesome college football team in town that we can go see instead!
8. Take a Scenic Drive
With the changing leaves, this is the perfect time for an afternoon drive together! Wisconsin is gorgeous in the fall, and you’re missing out if you don’t take some time to check out the changing colors!
9. Celebrate Halloween
Find an awesome couples costume and hit the local bar! If you’re feeling brave, try your luck in a costume contest. P.S. Dave and I have an amazing costume picked out. I’ll share pictures after Halloween!
10. Bake Together.
Fall is the time for the best baked goods! Spend a Saturday or Sunday at home together and bake some amazing fall treats. You can share them with friends and family, or keep them all for yourselves!
